What is the best way to check what credit cards you have?

over the years I opened and closed credit cards. I only want to have 2-3 credit accounts. But I am not interested in having mroe then that. Lately I found out that at some point I opened a Sears card to get a discount in Sears for something. I compeltely forgot about it and I had to call and cancel it.
Any recommendations on how to check what credit accounts are still opened?

The easiest way to do this is to check your credit report. It will tell you what accounts you have open and closed. You can get a free report once per year for each agency (Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion) at annualcreditreport.com. Hope this helps.

By law each Credit Reporting agency must provide you with a report each year upon request. If you are turned down for credit you can use the vendors letter of rejection to request another free report. The document will list every reporting vendor.
