If I owe alot on my credit cards and paying the minimums will I still be able to get employment?
I owe quite a bit on my credit cards and every month I make the minimun payments. I applied for a job where a backround check is be made which includes a credit check. Will I still get the position if I owe alot on the total of all my credit cards and only can make the minimun payment every month? Can a backround check include a detailed credit check?

most all employers are doing credit checks no so much as to check your credit as to your liability to creditors and how much the position is paying to determine if you can afford to pay your debts and to see if you might be a thief to meet your personal obligations from your position in the company
Your credit report would say that you make payments on time, not how much you send them each month.
As for the job, it would depend on what they are looking for. . .
Please, see a credit counselor and stop paying only the minimum amount. You will NEVER get out of hock if that is all you send them, it is impossible.
It really depends on what type of job it is and how much bearing they place upon your credit reporting in the hiring process. Good luck!
it will only have an effect if you owe a company that you would like to be hired from,if you owe target, and you apply there, they wont hire you.i hope this helps
as long as you make the payments if only min or pay off each month then you are all right most places just see if you have like a court order for back child support
