How much would it cost to get insurance for this type of business?
Let’s say I want to start a small small business where I essentially find companies who are looking for window cleaning and then I find sub contractors to do the work and I get paid the difference between the amount I get from the company and the amount I pay to the sub for doing the work. How much would it cost to get insurance on this type of business in California? Also what type of insurance would I need? Also I wouldn’t have any employees. Just a one man operation.

You are taking responsibility because YOU are signing the initial contract for work. Then you are subbing in window cleaners to do the work under your own agreement. You will most likely need trades insurance which can be picked up for about 500-1000 if you shop around. This will give you 2 mil in liability which should be enough.
Some advice from me is why don’t you just find people who have experience cleaning windows, and get them to do the work under your own window cleaning company. The responsibility is the same, and profits will be higher. Good luck!
