Where do you start with no health insurance?
I need to take my son to see a neurologist and I
have no insurance for him> Where do I start?
Someone please help. We live in the Houston Texas area.
Do some doctors really take payments? Is it really hopeless if you

Why don’t you call your pediatrician and ask? If you know you need to go to a neurologist, then you must have gotten a referral.
Why don’t you have insurance for your child?!?!?!? SCHIP is very cheap and the percentage of kids who are eligible but not enrolled is staggering. You need to be more responsible. There are plenty of options out there.
The only pediatric neurologist I could find (about 3 years ago) was in Tomball. he seemed pretty good. He sent us for a CT scan and some other tests at Texas Children’s. We had insurance, so I don’t know how your situation would work.
