Will we regret loans for good college educations?
I begin college next year for the 08-09 school year, and that will also begin my boyfriends 4th semester in college. We have been dating for over 3 years and plan on staying together and planning our futures together. My top college is about an 2 hours away. I will get the best education in my major at this school, and I want to go there so bad because I know its a great school. Will my boyfriend and I regret taking out loans to pay for our college education? If we stay where we live he will not have to pay for the house he lives in, but if we move he will have to pay for housing? Is it smart to value your education enough to both get up and move and take out loans?

Depends on what you study and what you do with the education afterwards. If you spend all that money just to earn what someone with just a high school diploma can get, they it’s just a waste of money and time
Education is very important but if you have way to try to save up in the mean time, do so. That why you can be clear of any other debt.
$I’m 30,000 in debt from student loans…NEEDLESS debt. My pell grant and another grant paid a full ride….Yes I STILL took out loans to pay for stuff I didn’t need. I just look at it as paying $30,000 for college, just to make myself feel better
Use loans as a last resort if you don’t qualify for a pell grant, or other grants.
