what happens to my parents insurance when i get my permit?
I am planning on getting my permit. But my parents want to know what happens to their car insurance. Does their insurance cover me until I get my full license? Or do I have to get my own once I get my full license? (The insurance we have is not on the car but the person driving the car)

No much during the permit stage, then it goes up quite a bit after you get your license.
They should talk to their insurance agent before you get your permit, so they know exactly what the requirements are.
That is horrible insurance if it only covers the person. That is called “named insured”. I would switch to a different company that covers the car.
Call your agent. Everything depends on your state and your company.
But I would switch companies if I were you.
