Do the amounts an opposing insurance company tend to correlate and fluctuate depending on the economy?

Will an insurance company tend to base their offers based on the economy of the time? Will an insurance company usually offer more when the economy is doing well and less when the economy is not good? Or is there no correlation?

The correct answer is…..there should be no correlation.

A claim is a claim is a claim. In most states, it also a violation of “Fair Claims Settlement Practices” to INTENTIONALLY delay an offer to settle in an attempt to negotiate a settlement. (I hate using capital letters, but in this case intentionally is quite important.)

If you are talking about an injury claim – the offer is based on the injury itself. The adjuster does not consider the economy.
