How do I find out my National Insurance Number?
I haven’t used my National Insurance Number for many years, and have no records of any of my previous jobs.
I have just started work though and they need me to provide my NI number. Is there some way I can find out what it is?
On your bill.
Call your local tax office – find the number on http://www.hmrc.gov.uk – and they will be able to trace your NI number from your full name and date of birth.
