How do I look for promising prospects to sale Aflac insurance?
I am a new Aflac independent agent. I am having a difficult time selling the insurance. Is it something I am doing wrong. Everytime I go to a business other Aflac agents have already contacted them. What can I do become a productive insurance agent?

Maybe you need to sell to individuals instead.
Maybe you need to check out other companies, where you can be an employee agent, with benefits, a starting salary, 401K, and company-paid retirement.
With this type of situation, you get a lot of training to teach you how to prospect, make appointments, fact find, present solutions, and close the sale. Some even offer you an established book of business to service and to prospect from.
Here are some names of companies you might consider:
(Not in any particular order of preference)
American General Life and Accident, Monumental Life, Metlife, Liberty Mutual, Liberty Life, Western-Southern Life, Prudential, New York Life.
Just go to any of these local agency offices, and they would be glad to talk with you.
Best wishes.

First of all, you need to use the people that you know the most; your friends and family. Talk to past employers if possible. If you’ve already tapped out all of your resources, then talk to your District Coordinator, or your Regional manager to see if they know of anyone you can team up with. Two heads are definitely better than one when you’re starting out. My name is Charles Hunt and I work in Virginia East. I started in January and I have written over 100,000 in AP. It can be frustrating talking to people that have been approached by other agents already, but you can’t let that get you down. Your supervisors make money when you make money, so they want you to succeed for their sake. Trust me, they will want to help you. If not, then talk to another Districts Coordinator (preferably one that’s producing). Hope this helps.
