What insurance company has the lowest minimum policy for workmans compensation?

I’m looking for the insurance company that has the lowest minimum for a workmans comp policy, so far I haven’t been having any luck finding one with around a $4-600 minimum policy, any help/advice/information would be GREATLY appreciated.

There’s a minimum premium per CLASS CODE.

So, the lowest I’ve ever seen, is Princeton Insurance, who charges $300 for a single man accounting office. This is only if you’ve had three years of PRIOR workers comp coverage with NO LOSSES, and they’ll need a hard copy of the loss runs.

They won’t write directly, so you’ll have to use an agent. AND, they only write insurance in a few states. Maybe yours, maybe not yours.

Most insurance companies won’t write a stand alone workers comp policy. Most won’t write a new business.

If you need workers comp, you should be talking to agents, for both your workers comp AND general liability coverage. You’ll have more luck that way, and get a better price.
