anything you get is going to be a rip off. Try getting a gas card and pay it off before getting any interest. You also get discounts on gas which is a plus as well as the credit you build up.
Loans are debt, so in general using a loan to pay off another is a bad idea.
Bill consolidation loans are a possibility but you must be very very careful that you do not end worse off. Consolidating debts into a mortgage is good some some people. There is a process,
Pay as much as possible to the smallest debt.
(unless there’s another with an especially high interest rate)
Borrow from a friend, parent, somebody if needed.
Pay only the minimum on everything else.
Once that first one is paid off you now have more money to apply to the next debt. So you work on the next largest.
And so on until you get to the last and largest debt, with the most available money to apply to it.
While you do this process you cannot run up any other debts. No subscriptions, no magazines, no cable tv, nothing like that. Save as much money as possible. Check prices very carefully when buying things. No snacks, music, movies, buy only what you need. Cancel the phone if you can, eliminate extras like caller-ID. Do all those sort of money saving things.
