What are some jobs that will help pay off student loans as soon as possible?
So I’m a high school student, I’m open to ANY ideas for a job and please be practical. What jobs are good for a college student who needs to pay off their loans as soon as possible? I’m only posting this question to give me some ideas of what career to choose. I’m passionate about anything, as long as I have determination I’m willing to work for anyone in any job situation. As a high school student, you’re too concerned about paying off student loans that you don’t have yet. The terms for student loans are changing as the economy evolves and the conditions under which you will pay them back may change tomorrow, so you can’t really plan for that part of your education now.
Ideally, a student loan is paid back with the earnings from work in your chosen field. If that makes sense. If you choose well, your field of study will bring the benefits of a good income with which to pay off those student loans.
The basis for your career choice should not be money, but rather your ability to learn a trade with which you can support yourself. Future income is directly affected by many factors beyond your control and shouldn’t be the basis for choosing a course of study. Lots of people did that in computer sciences in the 90′s. Now we have too many computer people with no real life experience and they’re flipping burgers for a living.
Evaluate your interests, the subjects you’re most successful with in school, and develop a plan to research the skills needed to find a job in that field or discipline.
