Where would I find informatio on FHA mortgages and if there is anything new to offer single parents?
I would be considered first time home buyer. Need to try to get a home. Tired of renting forever! Does anyone know of any new mortgage deals from the govt?

Call a real estate office. They will be able to answer all of your questions.
You best bet is to speak with a local lender who will know about programs you may qualify for. Internet lenders typically do not have this information.
I don’t know of much programs out there, other than if you purchase a home in a Rural area, and you can get the USDA Rural Development loan. I think the other program is getting an FHA loan and you have to have 3.5% down.
