    I think the government is now going to give small businesses a tax credit. That may be why they are offering it.

    No…and having two insurances is wasting money too (usually). So, if you’re wasting someone else’s you may want to rethink that….

    it depends on what type of insurance you have and what type of insurance your company is giving you? health insurance is a very broad term. it can be divided into hospitalisation and accident. it can be further divided into more categories but at least you must have coverage for the big ticket items like hospitalisation bills which includes room charges and surgery charges. the accident coverage is more for smaller bills. the details of each policy is also important as things like medical reimbursement you can only claim the amount actually charged to you so it may not make sense to have 2 policies covering the same item unless you think you need that amount of coverage. some will classify coverage for critical illnesses and total permanent disability under health insurance. to me, coverage for CI and TPD is the more the merrier. so it really depends on what you really have and what you really need?
