“Take with you”? You need health insurance, auto insurance, homeowner or renter’s insurance and (perhaps) life insurance.

Auto, renters, health. To protect you from lawsuits and to protect your belongings and to protect your health.

The whole idea behind insurance is to protect you from a loss that you cannot afford. If you are concerned about major losses, I would suggest:

Health insurance with a large deductible. You would still be responsible for paying for most routine care such as doctor’s visits and prescriptions. This assumes that you do not receive health insurance where you work.

Auto insurance with a limit of liability of 100/300/100 or more. This protects you against potentially large liability claims. Also, $5000 (or more) of auto medical payments coverage to help out with your deductible on your health insurance in case you are injured. If your car is paid for, is 8 years old or more, or has 100,000 miles or more, avoid the comprehensive and collision coverage. Instead, put the money you would spend on that coverage into a savings plan for an emergency fund.

Renters insurance or homeowners insurance with an adequate level of liability coverage. If you were to negligently start a fire and damage the building you are renting, the liability coverage would be invaluable to you. Many landlords now require renters insurance for this reason.

Contact the insurance agent that has been taking care of your family’s insurance to discuss your needs further. Congratulations on taking a proactive approach towards this important need.

car-insurance.66ghz.com – try this one. I personally have their car insurance, cause it is the cheapest for my family. They also have all other types of insurance.
