How long does insurance information last?

Example: If I went to a psychiatrist three years ago and attended two meetings and got a prescription, then more recently attend a meeting with a psychiatrist to discuss my problems and get a prescription’.

Would this information (that I had at some point attended some sort of counseling like this) somehow exist in my insurance somewhere (even if I have changed insurances overtime). Like an insurance history that can be viewed by me or someone else. If so how far back does it go?

    Short answer: Yes.

Databases are routinely managed to provide such information to would-be insurers to avoid extending coverage to those representing a higher risk profile than may be acceptable to the insurer.

In Texas, for example, if you have EVER seen a shrink in this state even one time without prescribed meds involved, you will be denied coverage. This was the case with my ex-wife and we were unable to secure insurance for her, even with my proposed exclusions.
