How much would it cost for insurance on small restaurant dining?

I am working on a business plan for school and need to know what types of insurance a middle class cafe, which would be in Santa Barbara, CA would need. Approx. 10 workers, alcohol will be served, open for only breakfast and dinner, we’d have a bakery, and there is outdoor seating. I am having trouble getting any idea of how much this will cost because the online insurance quotes require quite a bit of information, which I don’t have because this is not a real business. Any info will help!

You’re never going to find a dollar amount answer to this question. There’s much more to be considered in figuring out a business insurance premium including building value, contents, equipment breakdown, etc. I’d keep using the online quotes as best you can and just guess at the information you don’t know. It’ll at least give you a ballpark so you know if you’re talking $1,000 or $100,000 worth of premium.

My brother has a restaurant just like you described, only in Montebello Ca, he is paying around 5K a year, but to be on a safe side try calling an insurance professional. a local deal 888-546-3760 Universal Lines Insurance
