Can prepayed credit cards be bought by an Argentinian person in the USA?

I’m travelling to USA with no credit card, so I’ve been told about prepayed credit cards for guaranting reservations at hotels. But can these credit cards be used by Argentianian people in the US?

No, we have a strict “No Argentinian person traveling in the USA may buy “prepayed” credit card” Law…Sorry my friend.

Of course you can. A prepayed credit card works like a regular credit card, has the same logo from Visa or MC on it. The only difference is you decide the amount of ‘credit’ will be on the card by depositing funds where you purchase the card and they will show it has that dollar amount of credit.

Some cards can be reloaded once the dollar amount gets low, which may be more convenient for you while you are traveling. Be sure to ask before you buy the card if you can reload it over the phone or the internet, as you may not be in the same location to physically go into the same store to reload your card.

No you need a Social Security Number in order to activate a reloadable prepaid card.
