Where are public records of mortgages?
I have gotten postal junk mail trying to sell me life insurance and they know my mortgage balance. The mortgage company says this is public record. How do I find the public records for mortgages?

In Cuyahog county where I live you can go on the counties website and find out about anybody if you look under the recorers department
Contact the “Recorder of Deeds” office in the county where the mortgage was recorded.
