How much would insurance be for an under 21 female in NYS?

I’ve been trying to figure out how much money I would pay for auto insurance before I get a car, but I can’t get any quotes without a car. I am 19, a female, and living in New York State. Is there anyone that would mind sharing how much they pay, what insurance company they have, and how old they are? I would really appreciate it.

How much you will pay depends on what kind of car you have. You can’t get an accurate estimate without that information. A brand new sports car will cost thousands of dollars more to insure than an old station wagon.
IF you have an older, paid for car, with minimum liability coverage, it’s PROBABLY going to cost you darned close to $2,000 a year, if you DON’T live within 50 miles of NYC. Double that, if you live IN NYC.
