What will happen to my insurance after having 3 accidents?
i got rear ended in the parking lot at work 2 days ago and i didn’t call my insurance company yet because i’m afraid they will drop my insurance. the person who hit me is a coworker and he won’t give me his information so i can get my car fixed. what should i do should i still call my insurance company and tell them that?
i guess he does have insurance and he called them and they said he will be dropped if he files with them.

I would definatly call your insurance company just to cover yourself. I would also call the police if you can’t get your coworker to give you their info. If it’s not your fault if’s very important to get it done asap because insurance companies could also wonder why you waited too long. Good luck!
Yes still call your insurance company… Call the police to get his information…. Since you been in 3 accidents your insurance will go way up
You’re going to have to print this out, and explain to your coworker, that you’re putting this claim through YOUR insurance, and YOUR insurance company is going to be coming after him. Likely, he flat out has no insurance – which means they’ll be suing him in court, and garnishing his wages to get paid. If he HAD insurance, he wouldn’t be giving you a tough time about this.
Meanwhile, you need to take a photo of the damage of his car and your car, AND file a police report. THIS accident isn’t going to count against you – but if the other two were your fault, you’re looking at a big rate increase.
You also need to file an incident report at your employer’s HR office, just to notify them that the accident happened.
And yes, you file the claim with your insurance. They’ll chase this guy down. And the police will be inquiring, also.
He’s playing with you. It’s not up to him if he wants to put it through insurance or not. You have the right to file a claim directly through his insurance policy, because he was at fault. If I were you, I’d take pictures of his car, your car and file a police report. He is required by law to exchange information with you. If he doesn’t give it to you, the police might be able to run his license plate and give it to you. Don’t let him win this one.
You can file w/ your own insurance company and then they will go after him for reimbursement.
ADD: jlf doesn’t know what he’s talking about. I’ve been handling auto claims for 4 years and I know for a fact that you can file a claim w/ his insurance company. People do it all the time.
It’s up to you what to do. You cannot actually “file a claim” with the other party’s insurer – only the policyholder can initiate a claim. So you either pay for the repairs yourself or file with your insurer (who will then try to subrogate, or recover costs, from his insurer). First, consider the cost of the repairs vs. your deductible.
Your insurance rates do not go up if your not at fault for the accident.
Call your insurance company ASAP and put in the claim. If your co-worker will not give his insurance info just write down his license plate number and give it to your insurance company. That is all they need.
You should inform you insurance company and place a claim with them. Once you place a claim with your company and since this is not your fault the insurance company can directly deal with the insurer of your co-worker or with him if he does not have insurance. Your insurance company will pay you for the repairs and deal with the other insurance company. In case, there is any recovery from the other insurer you can get your deductible or part of your deductible back from your company.
