How long does it take to close a loan on a home?

My husband and I found a home for sale and we got approved through our bank for the loan on the home. We made an offer on the home and it was accepted. We met with the real estate agent agent and we signed the contract. The contract came back today signed by the seller. How long should it take for our bank to close the loan?
