Bad credit, how to get a loan with no checking account?
I was just approved for a apartment and I’m 9 months pregnant. I have to put down a deposit and 1 months rent. I don’t have it and need to know which is the best way to get a loan without having a bank account and having bad credit (blame it on a family member). I can’t ask anyone in my family so how can I go about this?

If the bad credit stems from a family member bring all you can to show to a lender to prove it. Also, you may be able to get credit by showing “non-traditional” credit practices. Do you have bills you pay monthly that you can show the lender so they can see your payment practices?

If you have a car you get a title loan, I think most often those companies don’t do credit checks. Or turn to programs in your community that help with housing and what not for women in your situation. I have a friend who was in a similar situation and she just opted to go to low-income housing to get herself on her feet (she has 3 kids and is under 25). She got an apartment there and paid about $13.00/month for rent and paid no utilities (it wasn’t a bad apartment at all – - she is a very clean person so it didn’t even look like a low-income housing apartment). She went to college and got federal aid for babysitting and what not and now she’s about to graduate to be a registered nurse. Sometimes you just have to find other options. Especially in your case… if you are 9 months pregnant and you can’t afford your deposit and first months rent you should turn to low-income housing becuase you also need to think about the money you will need pretty soon to support your unborn child.
