How do I make my credit cards work again?
I had left them in my purse for over an year and now there is brown dots over the strip. I tried purchasing with them but it dint work. I dont want to approach the bank cos they have lost track of me.Anyway I have paid huge amounts as interests over these cards earlier when the banks knew where to reach me. So why not use these cards for one last time? I might sound a fraud but am not, just a normal human being who has paid more than enough to those banks for using their credit cards. So if there is any chance to make them work, well and good, else forget it and pass it through the shredders.

The accounts almost surely have been frozen. That is why the cards don’t work. You won’t be able to use the cards, but you will still owe the money you borrowed plus plenty of fees and interest.
You may not want to sound like a fraud, but you are trying to commit one.
You agreed to the terms when you signed up for the credit card. Now you must live with them.
If you don’t want to pay “huge amounts as interests,” then spend cash. When you spend money you don’t have, you pay interest because you are borrowing someone else’s money.
.
You ‘paid huge amounts of interest’ not ‘as interests’ because you charged purchases to the cards, and spend an institution’s money instead of your own. Information about interest charges was freely available before you spend more than you could repay.
What are you thinking! Shred the cards or return them to the bank.
“I dont want to approach the bank cos they have lost track of me.”
What the heck does this mean??!! So you still owe money on the cards but moved and left no forwarding address?
If you have no intention of paying your obligations, you should shred the cards and move on.
start paying them again.
Shred them!!
The bankers are smarter than you think!!
You can be assured that the “bank may have lost track of you” but the “credit bureau” hasn’t. As for the high interest, well if people would pay their honest debts and not try to defraud the system, the rates would probably be less for everyone. Their recourse for recovering the money’s owed them by people who won’t pay is through those who will and the interest rates.
By the way, have you checked your credit score lately? Why Don’t you just do the right thing, contact the bank and make arrangements to pay your balance? You really don’t want to go through life with a bad credit score because the only way you’ll ever be able to buy is with a high interest rate. The bank will work with you on this and you’ll feel better for it.
Good luck. And remember, you are not the only one who has gotten themselves into debt but you are the one who can correct your situation.
Your bank has already freeze your credit cards.
Also its a not a good thing to try a card which is not working.
There are many ways you can get your credit score secured again(depending upon your country).
