COBRA insurance question: How long do you need to stay employed with a company to receive COBRA?

My guess is that if you sign an employment contract with a company that awards benefits, you enroll in the benefits program, and depart (voluntarily) after 2 months, you will be covered under the option of COBRA.
In other words, there is no law that states that an employee must be at an employer for X months/years in order to be awarded the opportunity to continue benefits under COBRA when they departs.

The law is, as long as you had coverage in effect the last full day you were employed, you are eligible for COBRA, IF your employer is subject to cobra.
You are only covered under COBRA, if YOU pay the premium.
Correct, there’s no length of time you must be employed before you are able to elect COBRA.
