No charge at all once you get your balance to 0.
Do not close them for 2 reasons:
    1. You will reduce your total available balance on all your credit cards overall in your credit reports.
    2. You could be closing your oldest account
Length of credit history is 15% of your fico.

For top 800+ scores use credit cards, but pay the amount in full when you get the bill.

only close a card if you don’t ever use it and it is charging you an annual fee. Bare in mind, your credit score could go down for a variety of reasons as a result of closing the account. There is no charge for closing down an account, but you are still responsible for paying off the balance if there is one.

Judy is 100% correct. DO NOT close your cards unless you want to see a significant dip in your credit scores. Just pay the balance down to $0 and rip up the card or keep it someplace other than your wallet.
