How do you check your personal record or if you have bad credit?

Question by AlejandraS: How do you check your personal record or if you have bad credit?
I don’t know if I have bad credit or not. I am 19 years old and I have no idea how to find out. I have subscribed for magazines when I was younger and never paid for them. Will something so simple ruin my credit? I was also wondering how I can check my own personal record from my drivers license. Is there a certain website I can check to find out?

FreeCreditReport.com
If you ordered magazines when you were younger and didn’t pay for them, if you didn’t give them your SSN, then they would have no way to report you. Besides, if you were underage, they can’t report you anyway.
The only thing you can find out through your drivers license is your driving record. If you’re wanting a copy of your driving record, call your auto insurance, they can get that.

AnnualCreditReport.com is the site mandated by the FTC to allow online access to your free annual credit report from each of the three credit bureaus. This is the only site that does not require you to sign up for monitoring services. The reports are free; the scores are not.

If you get a response that says your report isn’t available due to freeze or lack of info, that means there is nothing on your report. The magazine subscription probably never reported to the credit bureaus and you have no report or score.

FreeCreditReport.com is not free. You have to sign up for monitoring services

There is no such thing as an official “personal record.” You can check your credit histories at http://www.annualcreditreport.com.

You can get a free credit report to see if anything negative is on there at http://www.annualcreditreport.com

Your drivers license has nothing to do with your credit report.

buildcredit.ifastnet.com – try this site. I use it to monitor my credit and also cleaned off some bad items from my credit report. You can apply for free initial plan and get your scores and reports for free.
