Will travel insurance cover us if we cancel because our adopted baby is born?

Question by greentolive: Will travel insurance cover us if we cancel because our adopted baby is born?
We are in the adoption process, waiting for a match with a birth mother. We could literally get a call today that says “a baby was just born, come now” or it could be that the mother is 4 months pregnant and we have some warning. Needless to say it is hard to plan anything. A relative has offered to send us to Costa Rica for a week. We are hesitant because we may have to cancel the trip at the last minute.
Would travel insurance cover this?

I tend to think not. Read the travel insurance policy and see whether it lists this as something that it covers. If it does not say that it is covered, then it is not covered.
