No, usually insurance given from employers protects your materials due to something of THEIR fault but in this case I don’t think that you will be able to because nothing other than yourself caused you to loose the ring. Sorry. :/
No you cannot because you should have put it in your pocket or purse when you are dealing with something like that. it is not their fault that you didn’t keep your personal belongings safe.
You can claim it on your insurance if it’s covered. Your employer doesn’t insure your belongings.
Not only does their insurance not cover stuff that doesn’t belong to them, but even if it did, the property deductible is likely at LEAST $ 50,000; and mysterious disappearance (oops I lost it) isn’t covered, under the standard commercial property form.
If you insured it seperately under a jewelry floater on your own homeowners or renters policy, you can file a claim for it there. Otherwise, it’s uninsured.
no it’s your property so you make a claim on your homeowners insurance.
No. Check your household insurance. If you are covered for personal possessions away from the home on an ‘all risks’ basis you can claim on that. However the chances are that you’ll have to pay the first 25 or 50 pounds of any claim and the claim could increase you premiums when you renew your policy or even switch insurer. So unless it’s a particularly valuable ring it may not be worth your while.
