Are Private Loan Modification companies better to work with then direct to the bank loan modification people. I have spent the last year trying to get a loan mod direct with my lender, US Bank. All I get is a run around with no answers, and the 3rd party people want 3k up front. Any suggestions?

Most private loan modification companies are bottom feeders and many are scams. It doesn’t cost you a dime for you to modify your loan if you do it yourself working with your servicing company. You just have to meet the servicer’s qualifications is all. If you are not already behind on your mortgage payments and have 3k to work with, you might as well look into refinance.
