My husbands employer has taken his health insurance premiuns out of his gross income which has made his gross income lower. Actually his premium was taken out pre tax. Now on his w-2 it doesnt show up at all as if he never earned it.

My health insurance premium is paid through my employer but I have to pay part of the premium and it is deducted from my paycheck each pay period. I am filing my taxes and am being asked if the health insurance premiums are paid for with after-tax dollars. Any answers?
