Also, even if the loan has gone to a collection agency, can I still contact the lender and get out of default that way. Instead of paying the collection agency an incredible ridiculous amount, like they are asking? Can your wages be garnished if your loan was private? Thank you very much!

Is there such a thing as home loans based on wages rather than your credit? I don’t have good credit because of some old bills. I’m paying them off. My rent is never late. I make around $40,000+ a year (depending on overtime). Where can I go for this type of loan?
